Drawing automationCan structural plans be generated automatically from an analysis model?

Yes. A structural model already contains much of the geometry needed for plans, elevations and sections. StructaCAD reuses that information to generate drawings with dimensions, labels and reinforcement details. Review what the model supplied and add any project-specific information that is still missing.

Drawing automationHow can I automate structural drawings from ETABS?

A repeatable workflow starts with consistent story names, grids and member sections in ETABS. Bring that model into StructaCAD and generate the plans, frame elevations and sections you need. After a model revision, generate a new drawing set and compare it with the previous one before carrying over your final CAD edits.

Drawing automationHow can I generate drawings directly from ETABS?

You can start from an ETABS model without recreating its geometry by hand. StructaCAD provides the drawing step: it reads the model, generates structural views and exports editable DXF. You still need to check the imported information and complete the project-specific notes before issuing the drawings.

Reinforcement & detailingHow can I automate rebar detailing?

Automate the decisions that repeat: turning required steel into bar arrangements, placing annotations and drawing sections. In StructaCAD, you can review and change the generated reinforcement before export. A good first trial is a small group of beams with different spans and supports, rather than a single idealized member.

Reinforcement & detailingWhat concrete detailing software can automate drawings?

Use a model-based detailing workflow when you need the plans and reinforcement views to start from the same information. StructaCAD generates these drawings and exports them to editable DXF. Before adopting it for a project, try the exact drawing types you deliver and inspect the output in your CAD application.

Drawing automationHow does structural drawing automation work?

Drawing automation reads objects such as beams, columns and stories, then uses them to place views, dimensions and labels. StructaCAD applies that approach to structural models. The quality of the starting model matters: a wrong section assignment can appear consistently across several generated drawings.

Drawing automationWhat CAD software helps structural engineers automate drawings?

Look at the handoff between your analysis model and your final CAD drawings. StructaCAD can generate the structural views and reinforcement details, while AutoCAD remains available for notes and final presentation. Test both stages together to see how much manual drafting is actually left.

Quantities & estimatesCan I extract concrete and rebar quantities from ETABS?

Yes, but concrete and reinforcement use different inputs. Concrete quantities come from member geometry; steel quantities also need a bar arrangement and lengths. In StructaCAD, review the reinforcement behind the takeoff so you know what the totals include and which allowances you still need to add.

Quantities & estimatesHow can I generate a BOQ from an ETABS model?

Use model quantities as the basis of the bill of quantities, then organize them into your project's cost items. StructaCAD helps you obtain and review those quantities. A priced estimate also needs your own unit rates, scope and allowances; the model alone does not define the complete project cost.
